TAKE NOTICE that a Special Primary Election
to fill the vacancy in the 80th State House District and a General
Election to elect city officials in the various cities will be held in said Cities/Townships
on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. The last
day for receiving registrations for this Election will be Monday, October 5, 2015. Persons residing in said Cities/Townships
on Monday, October 5, 2015 will not be eligible to vote at the election. Persons planning to register must determine
when the office of the City/Township Clerk
or the office of the CountyClerk
or the Secretary of State Branch office or other state designated office will
be open for registration. Registration by
mail may be used by obtaining and completing a Mail Voter Registration
Application and forwarding to the election official as directed on the
application by the close of registration deadline. A person who registers to vote by mail is
required to vote in person unless they have satisfied identification
requirements with the local clerk or are at least 60 years of age or are
handicapped. Only persons who have
registered as electors with the City/Township Clerk
or with the County Clerk or through
registration at a Secretary of State Branch office or other state designated
office or by using an official mail registration application, are registered
electors of said City/Township.
ENTITLED to be registered voters in said City/Township must possess the
following qualifications on or before the day of the election: (1) a citizen of the United States; (2) not
less than 18 years of age; (3) a resident of the State of Michigan and the
local municipality for not less than 30 days prior to the General Election (MCL
168.492). In addition, qualified
electors must be registered to vote not less than 30 days prior to the election
